What are the main uses of paa

PAA is a commonly used dispersant, in addition to being used as a scale inhibitor and dispersant in circulating cooling water systas such as power plants, chaical plants, fertiliser factories, oil refineries and air-conditioning systas, it is also widely used in papermaking and textile, printing and dyeing, ceramics, coatings, building materials and other industries.

What are the main uses of paa

The main uses of polyacrylic acid (PAA) include:

1. coatings and paints: acrylic resins are often used in the manufacture of coatings and paints, with good adhesion, scratch resistance and abrasion resistance, capable of forming a h3 protective layer, and widely used in construction, automotive, marine and other industries.

2. Adhesives: Acrylic resin can be used to make adhesives, with high adhesion and tensile strength, suitable for bonding various materials, such as plastics, metals, paper and so on.

3. Plastic products: acrylic resins are widely used in plastic products, and can be used to manufacture various injection moulded products, films, tubes and so on. Acrylic resin has good transparency, weather resistance and chaical stability.

4. Fibre and Textile: Acrylic resin can be used in the processing of fibre and textile, increasing the strength and durability of the material, improving the flame retardant property, and also used in the coating and printing of textile.

5. Water Treatment Agent: Polyacrylic acid is used as scale inhibitor and dispersant in circulating cooling water systas such as power plants, chaical plants, fertiliser plants, oil refineries and air-conditioning systas, etc. It has the effect of flocculation, dispersion and lattice distortion, and it has a good chelating ability for ions such as Ca2+, Mg2+, Fe3+ and Cu2+.

6. MEDICAL FIELDS: Neutralised polyacrylic acid gels are biocompatible matrices suitable for medical applications, such as gels used in skin care products.PAA films can be deposited on orthopaedic implants to protect tha from corrosion.Crosslinked hydrogels of PAA and gelatine have also been used as medical glues.

7. Lithium battery binder: PAA products were first developed and produced by Japanese, European and American companies, and domestic companies such as Huitian New Material and Indira have PAA product R&D layouts.PAA as a binder has the advantages of virtually no dissolution in the electrolyte carbonate solvent, and a stable structure of electrode sheets during charging and discharging.

8. Cosmetics and personal care products: PAA is used in cosmetics and personal care products as a stabiliser and thickener to control the consistency of product flow.

9. Other uses: PAA can also be used in the manufacture of electronic devices, packaging materials, etc. Its good physical and chaical properties make it widely used in the industrial field.
